A new step towards the symbiosis between electromobility and the hotel industry. Wirelane welcomes the Living Hotels of the Derag Group as a new business partner. From now on, all apartment hotels of the family-run hotel chain in Germany and Austria will be equipped with charging infrastructure for electric vehicles from Wirelane.

Founded in 1982 with the opening of the first Living Hotel in Munich, the owner-managed hotel group, which introduced the aparthotel segment in Germany, operates 18 apartment hotels in the best residential areas of cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Bonn. The promise of Living Hotel is to create individual rooms for their guests to work, and live. Environmental protection and sustainability play an overriding role.

“We have been Green Globe-certified chain-wide in the hotel industry for almost five years, making us one of the first companies in Germany to consistently work on issues such as social commitment, environmental protection and the combination of ecology and economy in all hotels.

Offering our guests the opportunity to park their electric vehicle directly in the hotel and at the same time to charge it in a time-saving manner has therefore been part of our service and standard for years," says Tim Düysen, CMO of the hotel group, and adds: "Against the background of the increasing Demand from guests and the increasingly mature charging infrastructure solutions from a single source, we are now expanding our commitment to all hotels together through the partnership with Wirelane, one of the largest providers in this field.” The first locations include Living Hotel Prinzessin Elisabeth in Munich and the Grand Hotel Russsischer Hof in Weimar.

Living Hotels relies on Wirelane's many years of expertise in the planning, construction and comprehensive operation of charging infrastructure solutions in the hotel and real estate industry, "because we get everything from a single source here," says Düysen. Wirelane equips the Living Hotels with the Light & Charge series, including customer-friendly tap payment. Contactless payment stands for an uncomplicated charging experience for guests as well as an operationally lean integration into everyday hotel life. “We are pleased to have a partner at our side in Living Hotels, who is also one of the absolute pioneers in the field of hotel electromobility.

With the turnaround in mobility, the requirements for hotel operations are also changing, parking spaces are becoming charging options for electric cars. Operationally lean, cost-effective charging infrastructure that can be planned, implemented and operated from a single source is becoming increasingly important. With the overall concept for the charging infrastructure, Wirelane specifically addresses the requirements and needs of the hotel industry - we advise on the implementation from the start," says Hakan Ardic, Vice President Commercial Sales & Marketing Wirelane.
