Pullman Bali Legian Beach has achieved an impressive compliance score of 94% based on its environmental sustainability performance and commitment to best practices. The resort’s holistic approach to sustainability emphasizes the importance of community involvement and environmental stewardship.
Pullman Bali Legian Beach is committed to embracing local culture and building a strong connection with its diverse community. Located within the hotel premises, a Balinese and Hindu temple is open for local residents to use as a place of daily worship. Furthermore, the Trigona Bee Conservation Program has been established in the hotel gardens next to the temple. Bees will be able to collect nectar from flowers across the entire property contributing to biodiversity on the island, and guests will be able to visit the bee sanctuary to learn more about honey production.

Green Globe recently awarded Raffles The Palm Dubai its inaugural certification. Last year was a particularly significant year with the UAE announcing 2023 as The Year of Sustainability. In line with its sustainability vision, Raffles The Palm Dubai, an iconic beachfront property, has implemented a range of initiatives designed to conserve energy, reduce waste, and protect the local ecosystem while offering guests a world-class experience.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Community Recycling Project
Just one of the many exciting sustainability initiatives at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is its Community Recycling Project, which raises funds for local charities and keeps plastic, cardboard, and aluminium cans out of landfill. Hotel management and staff, along with neighbouring businesses, bring recyclables to the hotel to be separated and sent to waste management companies that pay for the material. The funds raised are then donated to worthy charities. This is just one of many sustainability activities designed as part of the Playa Cares Sustainability Program. Hyatt Ziva Cancún Connects with Local Community
At Hyatt Ziva Cancún, guests are invited to purchase a souvenir bracelet, that also acts as their room key. The funds raised from the purchase of the bracelets are used to support Lazaro Cárdenas, a local Mayan village. Along with donations including school suppliers and food items, Hyatt Ziva Cancún is working with the village apiarist collective, crafting a range of health and beauty products using honey gathered from the hives of native bees.

Constance Ephelia Seychelles: 9 Years of Sustainability Innovation
Constance Ephelia Seychelles was recently recertified for the ninth consecutive year. The five-star resort represents the cornerstone of Sustainable Tourism in the Seychelles and was first certified by Green Globe in 2014. The hotel collaborates with Food Intel Tech, a food waste monitoring solution for commercial kitchens, to track and reduce food waste. Great efforts are made to tackle food waste at the property and an interesting new idea has been introduced with the sale of chicken bones and fish head waste to generate revenue. In addition, some of the food refuse is collected by a farmer and fed to pigs on the island while vegetable remains are segregated and fed to a family of Aldabra giant tortoises.
