“Sustainability and social responsibility are essential to our business. As a global hospitality group, we have a responsibility that goes far beyond our own impacts... it is our role to shape the future of travel.” — Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor.

Since 2003, Green Globe Certification, a third-party sustainability expert, has supported Accor Hotels and Resorts across more than 50 countries. Accor has mandated that 100% of its global network must be certified by the end of 2026; as of November 2025, the group successfully surpassed the 50% milestone.

Sustainability has evolved from a marketing "nice-to-have" into a rigorous business mandate. Today, corporate and MICE clients require verified CSR data and third-party proof as a prerequisite for preferred supplier agreements. This shift is mirrored by guests who, tired of "greenwashing," now rely on certifications as the tangible proof they need to trust a brand.

Green Globe Certification is more than just a badge; it’s a tool for operational excellence. By helping hotels optimize energy, water, and waste management, the certification process actively future-proofs assets for owners and investors alike.
