Green Globe Certification has awarded Mövenpick Living West Hanoi its inaugural certification in acknowledgement of its sustainable operations.

Playa Hotels & Resorts’ (PHR) Playa Cares sustainability platform has been celebrating its success in carrying out community projects in Mexico over the past few years. Playa Cares Projects have a regional scope where each project is planned, executed and monitored to maximize the positive impacts of PHR’s actions on a destination´s environment and communities.

Green Globe Certification has awarded Gold status to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the Middle East’s leading business and events destination, recognising five consecutive years of measurable improvements in its sustainability performance.

The hotel has established comprehensive sustainability initiatives across the property. Three standout innovations have been recognized for their significant impacts: transforming food waste into organic fertilizer for the community, introducing a salt generator filtration system to reduce chemical use in the swimming pool, and installing solar panels to power the fitness area.

On World Cleanup Day, Green Globe certified Fairmont Nile City Hotel proudly partnered with Very Nile for the Clean the Nile Initiative, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to creating a lasting positive impact on both the community and the environment.

Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo was awarded Green Globe Platinum certification in February 2025, recognition of ten years of unwavering commitment to environmental, social, cultural, and economic responsibility and continuous improvement. As part of the broader Société des Bains de Mer Resort, Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo first achieved Green Globe certification in December 2015.

This month in September, a donation drive for HARIBON Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources Inc. is being run to raise funds for reforestation efforts around the country. During our visit to Green Globe certified Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh, we were invited on a day trip to visit the nearby tourist city of Nha Trang. Once a quiet fishing village, its evolved into a vibrant city known for pristine beaches, coral reefs, and historical landmarks like the ancient Po Nagar Cham Towers, built between the 7th and 12th centuries, Long Son Pagoda with its grand Buddha statue and the nearby Tu Van Pagoda made entirely of shells and coral.
