Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain Reaffirms its Commitment to Sustainability with Green Globe Platinum Certification

Recognized once again for its commitment to responsible hospitality, the hotel continues to champion environmental conservation, resource efficiency, and community engagement across the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has once again achieved Green Globe Platinum certification, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality. As the first hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve Green Globe certification, the hotel continues to integrate environmental responsibility and community engagement into its daily operations.

The hotel’s sustainability initiatives focus on conserving resources and reducing its environmental footprint through water-saving sensor taps, energy-efficient lighting, the reuse of swimming pool backwash water, and alternatives to single-use plastics.

Beyond its environmental efforts, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain supports coastal conservation through beach clean-ups and promotes sustainable culinary practices through its on-site vegetable garden. Community initiatives, including Mövenpick’s Kilo of Kindness campaign, further reflect its commitment to supporting those in need.

Mr. Benoit-Joseph Metanomski, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain, said: “Achieving Green Globe Platinum certification once again is a proud milestone for our team and reflects our continued commitment to responsible hospitality. We remain dedicated to reducing our environmental impact, supporting our local community, and making sustainability an integral part of the guest experience.”

Looking ahead, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain will continue to strengthen its sustainability initiatives and explore new opportunities to create a positive and lasting impact on the environment and the community.
