Hallenstadion Zurich Sets New Standard in Guest Guidance 

Hallenstadion Zurich is taking another major step towards digitalization and setting new standards for guest guidance. With the expansion of the digital infrastructure, the stadium will increase from the current 300 screens to around 450 screens. Thanks to the support of key partners Samsung for the screens and content software, as well as Habegger AG, which handled the installation, cabling and content delivery, the Hallenstadion will be one of the first arenas in Europe to implement a fully digital routing system. 

With an expansion of the network infrastructure, including the installation of new ports, switches and over 100 new network cables, the system is being prepared for future requirements. This digitization step includes pure digital signalling throughout the entire building. From the arrival to the Hallenstadion, via the take-aways, restaurants and toilets to your own seat, the route is completely digitalized. "The digital signage helps us enormously to ensure a smooth and flexible flow of visitors. We can also save high personnel costs in the area of direction and seating instructions," says Philipp Musshafen, CEO of the Hallenstadion. 

Personalized communication and dynamic redirection of visitors 
Daniel Périsset, Director IT Division at Samsung Switzerland: “The new screens are brighter and therefore attract more attention, while animations help to optimize orientation and guidance”. 

The guidance can be adapted at any time and tailored to the needs of the event or the situation on site. For example, visitors are directed to take-away stations in the walkways where there are shorter waiting times. After the event, personalized messages are sent to visitors, such as “Waiting times in the parking lot 20 minutes” or “Nice that you were here”. These customized messages contribute to a positive customer experience and promote the Hallenstadion's long-term branding. 

"The screens can be controlled flexibly and dynamically remotely, i.e. from anywhere in the world and in compliance with the highest digital security standards - both individually and fully synchronized. Whether only for certain areas or entire sectors, the options are perfectly tailored to different event formats," emphasizes Jürg Schwarz, CEO of Habegger AG. 

Corporate branding, flexibility and sustainability 
The digital infrastructure also offers new opportunities for corporate events, as branding is very important for corporate customers at their own events. Customers can now also use their entire CI/CD via the signage and create a strong bond with their brand. Without the use of analog signage, changes can also be made at short notice without having to send a new express order to the print shop. This also represents an important step towards sustainability. 

Digital signage opens up completely new opportunities for the Hallenstadion's partners, as it offers exclusive presentations in prominent locations. With around 800,000 happy visitors per year, this results in an attractive reach across a broad target group. 

The successful implementation of this digital solution is not only a significant milestone in visitor management for the Hallenstadion Zurich, but also positions it for the future.
