Nha Trang: A Coastal Jewel on Vietnam’s Southern Coast
𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟲 (2:08 seconds) During our visit to Green Globe certified Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh, we were invited on a day trip to visit the nearby tourist city of Nha Trang. Once a quiet fishing village, its evolved into a vibrant city known for pristine beaches, coral reefs, and historical landmarks like the ancient Po Nagar Cham Towers, built between the 7th and 12th centuries, Long Son Pagoda with its grand Buddha statue and the nearby Tu Van Pagoda made entirely of shells and coral. In recent years, domestic tourism has surged dramatical. Vietnamese families are flocking to destinations like Nha Trang. In 2024, the city welcomed over 5.4 million local Vietnamese visitors; a 27% increase on the previous year. As domestic tourism continues to rise, Nha Trang future depends on how well it balances growth with preservation—for travelers, for locals, and for generations to come. The cultural gems of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang provide a deeper connection to Vietnam’s heritage and were a fascinating addition to our coastal journey.
