This award is in line with the policy of the government of Monaco, a policy that has always been aimed towards the preservation of resources and the environment.

The latest compliance score of 82% places the hotel at Green Globe’s elite level of performance.

Situated in a pristine lagoon in South Malé Atoll, with expansive white beaches and turquoise waters fringing their lush island, Ozen Reserve Bolifushi is a soulful private resort that extends a local Maldivian welcome. Ozen Reserve Bolifushi has achieved Green Globe’s prestigious GOLD status for more than 5 consecutive years of independently verified sustainable operations and management.

Pullman Paris Hotels have committed to certification by Green Globe in 2023. Already many of the Paris based properties have sustainable practices in place as part of the Accor Planet 21 program. Green Globe certification is now being undertaken to provide independent verification of these practices.

As a priority, Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel chooses to locally source produce for its kitchens and where-ever possible choose organically grown fruits and vegetables. F&B staff are trained in waste separation and bio-waste is diverted to the composting program and distributed to farmers in France.

Pullman Paris Montparnasse recently underwent an extensive refurbishment and is equipped with new technologies and systems to deliver the optimum level of sustainability. Just as importantly the hotel’s Green Team regularly meets to institute the new ideas and practices developed by staff and management during daily operations. Hard Rock Hotel Maldives plays an essential part in assisting to protect and enhance the natural beauty of its islands through the preservation of precious ecosystems. In collaboration with the hotel’s dedicated Marine Discovery Center, the Hard Rock Hotel invites guests to participate in various educational programs, including coral propagation and marine awareness talks and presentations

When Hotel Kaiserhof Wien was built in 1896 on the former Glacis grounds, it was considered one of the most modern hotels of its era. Innovations such as a guest elevator, central heating, electricity and running water in all rooms were indeed luxurious sensations for the time.

Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti has once again been certified by Green Globe for its excellence in sustainable resort management. Celebrating their second successive year of Green Globe certification, Abadía Retuerta CEO, Enrique Valero declares, “Sustainability is an intrinsic part of Abadía Retuerta: what could be more sustainable than reviving the historic legacy of a 12th-century abbey, and an ancient vineyard.”

Surrounded by lush, native vegetation covering 97% of the premises, the resort has its own ecosystem, benefiting notably from abundant wealth of fruits, vegetables, and rice. All main structures have been designed to blend local culture, know-how and nature – with the purpose of creating a sustainable environment. In February 2023, the resort has received the Green Globe certification for its commitment towards sustainability.

The Tschuggen Collection is set to celebrate its 100-year anniversary with a one-of-a-kind charity event. The hotel group will take further action to protect our nature in the hope that pristine slopes and snow-covered mountains may be preserved for generations and centuries to come. Working under the patronage of the myclimate foundation, the family-run Tschuggen Collection will host the Race for Nature in Arosa from 15-18 March, 2023.

Set on the breathtakingly, beautiful lagoons of South Male Atoll, SAii Lagoon Maldives has led the resort group’s quest for Green Globe certification across its portfolio. SAii Lagoon Maldives is the first resort to complete certification this year, with sister resorts, SAii Phi Phi Island Village, SAii Laguna Phuket having also completed their final on-site audits this month.

Mövenpick Hotel Doha has once again been recognized as a sustainable tourism champion, with its recent recertification by Green Globe. The Hotel’s efforts have been independently assessed and comply with both Green Globe’s International Standard for Sustainable Tourism v1.7, as well as Mövenpick Hotel & Resorts (MHR) operational ethos, “nourishing the environment, our people and the local communities where we operate our hotels and resorts.”

The Swisstainable programme offers three different levels and has an ongoing collaboration with Green Globe. Anyone who joins the movement and takes part in the program can use the Swisstainable signet. The program is free of charge, and Green Globe certified members may enter the programme at Level III.
