Swissôtel Marianske Lazne has achieved its inaugural Green Globe certification. It is the first hotel in the Czech Republic to receive this recognition. Located at the center of the UNESCO historic spa town of Marianske Lazne, the hotel features a wellness-focused Purovel Spa and Sport, rooftop bar, and diverse dining venues with four versatile meeting spaces.
Newly opened in December 2025, Swissôtel Marianske Lazne has just started on its sustainability journey. The certification recognises the hotel’s commitment to integrating exceptional hospitality with sustainable practices that minimize environmental impact and promote responsible resource management.
Smart Energy Management
Swissôtel Marianske Lazne utilizes an advanced Building Management System (BMS) to efficiently control heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The system operates across the property’s five interconnected historic buildings, optimizing energy consumption according to occupancy and operational needs. The BMS helps reduce energy usage while ensuring a comfortable environment for guests.
Rewarding Sustainable Guest Choices
Through the ALL – Accor loyalty program, guests are encouraged to participate in the hotel’s sustainability efforts. Guests who opt to forgo daily housekeeping during their stay are rewarded with loyalty points, which can later be redeemed across the Accor network for discounts, benefits and future stays. This initiative helps reduce water consumption, energy usage and laundry-related environmental impacts.
Green Dining
The hotels Food & Beverage team actively promote sustainable hospitality through responsible menu planning and environmentally conscious operations. At the heart of the hotel's dining scene is the 105 Dining Lounge, where modern healthy cuisine is created from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, with autumn dishes such as cream of roasted pumpkin soup and grilled beef tenderloin with pumpkin purée and roasted chestnuts. Hotel breakfasts also prioritize freshness and sustainability, with almost 90% of ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
Single-use plastics have been eliminated from guest-facing restaurant and bar services wherever possible and the hotel is committed to continuously seeking green alternatives that reduce waste while maintaining a high-quality guest experience.
Innovative recycling initiatives are an everyday part of life at the Swiss Café where a bicycle on display features an aluminium frame made from recycled coffee cartridges. Furthermore, mugs moulded from recycled construction clay are creatively used for serving hot chocolate.
Dog Friendly Hotel
Dog lovers will be happy to know that Swissôtel Marianske Lazne welcomes furry friends at the hotel. Guests and their beloved pets can enjoy a leisurely walk or run through lush green spaces that surround the property including forest trails and parks. Upon check-in, dogs receive a welcome letter, snacks and a comfortable bed, making for a memorable and healthy stay for both humans and canines.
